Hyde Park History Walk

Saturdays & Sundays 2:00-3:30p

Memorial day - Labor day

Private tours run year round, anytime or day.

Chicago is the undisputed Architectural capital of the world and it's Hyde Park neighborhood is a stand-out. Starting near the lakefront and winding it's way through the streets and parks on a 90 minute walking tour, your local guide will share their cheat sheet on all things Hyde Park. See where President Obama's Chicago home is, a Frank Lloyd Wright National Landmark, where the original Monster's of the Midway played football and so much more! Historic and modern architecture meet on the University of Chicago campus and your local tour guide will highlight various points of interest along the way.

Tour guides are always grateful for any tips received for a great tour.

The Intro to Hyde Park Walk has a

significant amount of walking and is not recommended for anyone who can not walk and stand for long periods of time.

There is around 1.5 - 2 miles of walking total.

Meeting locations are sent in your confirmation email

once you register for a specific date.

“Chicago has so much excellent architecture that they feel obliged to tear some of it down now and then and erect terrible buildings just to help us all appreciate the good stuff.”
